While studying watercolor with Colleen Nelson, a few phrases she often repeated stayed with me—one in particular: “It’s just paper.” She would say it whenever she sensed hesitation as we prepared to begin painting, gently reminding us to release fear, trust the process, and let the art unfold.

Commissioned work is at the heart of my artistic practice. I especially enjoy painting landscapes, architectural subjects, and animals—particularly dogs and cats. I love collaborating closely with clients to explore the feeling they want the piece to convey, creating artwork that is both personal and uniquely meaningful, and something they will cherish for years to come.
